From January 2013, Slough's Local Authority service, 'Services Supporting Behaviour', will be transferred to, jointly managed by Littledown School (primary SEBD School) and Haybrook College (secondary SEBD School and Pru). This will provide a school to school support service
We now require a
Manager of Haybrook and Littledown SEBD Outreach services.
Full-time - Permanent
Salary range, L15 - L20 53,390 - 60,849 (inclusive of LW)
Required for April 2013 (or as soon as possible)
Littledown School is a small (29) special school for primary aged pupils (5-11yrs) with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Part of the schools remit is to develop a continuum of provision and support for primary-aged pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) across the local authority.
Haybrook College is a secondary SEBD special school and KS3 and 4 Pru. It provides a range of high quality educational programmes, delivered on several sites across Slough, helping to make positive changes in the lives of young people and ensuring the best possible educational outcomes.
We are looking for an
Experienced Teacher
Who have proven their skills of leadership and management within a mainstream setting. The ability to think creatively and to be flexible in a particularly challenging environment is essential. Previous experience of teaching pupils with challenging behaviour is essential.
You will
1. Lead on the development of an outstanding outreach service to support young people with SEBD in Slough
2. Manage the Haybrook and Littledown outreach service
3. Coordinate the delivery of effective intervention strategies which are responsive to local needs.
