WORK BASED LEARNING CO-ORDINATOR/ADMINISTRATOR
12.08 per hour

Sessional Fixed-term contract

In this varied role in our Construction Department, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the recruitment of learners to workplace development Construction programmes, promoting work-based learning to employers and identifying potential vacancies or placements. Naturally, there will be plenty of interaction with students, parents, curriculum colleagues and employers, so you'll be out and about putting your communication and negotiating skills to good use.
You'll need a relevant Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to work towards this) and knowledge of current education, training and health & safety issues with a particular emphasis of work-based learning. An excellent and methodical administrator with good attention to detail, you will have working knowledge of using Microsoft Office, including the internet, databases and spreadsheets. Experience of managing a challenging workload, meeting targets and working effectively with young people and local businesses will also by key.
