Learning Support Assistant

The Langley Academy is a unique academy and serves the young people of Langley, Slough and further afield. Housed in an iconic building, designed by Foster and Partners, it is the UK's first Museum School and has a museum within the building, specialises in Science, pioneers the use of museum learning and aims to become a centre of excellence for sports, notably rowing and cricket.
Learning Support Assistant REQUIRED ASAP
Term-time only 30.5hrs/week Salary Level 1 (FTE 14,516 - 14,582) plus a generous 17.2% employer pension contribution.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague to work in our SEND Department, under the guidance of the SENCO to undertake support programmes that enable access to learning for students with special educational needs and to assist teaching staff in the management of students and the classroom.
Ideally you have a NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience and are trained in the relvant learning strategies e.g. literacy. You need to be patient and flexible and ideally have some experience in working with young people.
